Ninety Nine Versus One

The greenback thieves amassing
laughing all the way…clapping
the peasants occupy the clinch
in pop tents, sleep on a park bench
can’t afford slumlord rents
common man’s decent
heavily evident

Government instability; Tea Party
ways and means…
dissention and anarchy
in the seams
off track, face smack
politics wac!
the wealthy double-clutch
they stacks
on the bus, the poor ride the back
same ole same
up the dream track
can’t get no slack
now everybody’s black like Jack
The media like cholesterol
dishin out bad fat
Whassup with that!?

Union attacks, price hikes and
diminished worker’s rights
lower pay and
downsize swipes, like
broke-back mountain with
no lube for the booty tight
the rich laughin; countin they loot
republican puppets in cahoots

Like the Grinch been stealin
but, not that December night
doin they dirt in broad daylight
like, they could care less
the world is wound up tight
401k holders up in a fright
Everybody getting hyped like
Something gotta be done
Its 99 of us and
They make up only one

We gotta stand and fight
no more will we run
we gotta check the perspective
cause we under the gun
its 99 of us and
they make up only one

let all our knees bend
our children’s futures we defend
flip the script; we have to mend
we must:
break the greed of the one
for 99 of us…
God’s will be done*
